Forest LaboratorieseDiscovery/IT Security and Compliance Audit Manager
Apr. 2007 - Dec. 2015Commack, New YorkDesigned, built, implemented and managed a no frills eDiscovery and Audit service delivery practice which adhered to strict ITIL service standards, but also factored in best practices as they pertain to Federal Rules of Evidence, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, ISO Standards, COBIT Standards and best practices defined within EDRM, Corporate eDiscovery Forums, Sedona, and Georgetown's Advanced eDiscovery Institute. While at Forest, I oversaw nearly 1000 matters without incurring a sanction or adverse finding pertaining to any of the deliverables resulting from the services I developed and managed., In addition, while in this role, I expanded my network to include industry thought leaders, innovators and developers with whom I frequently confer in response to their requests for my insights on the practical validation of academic theory pertaining to digital trust, or for my candid pragmatic feedback pertaining to product roadmaps and new developments and strategic thoughts within eDiscovery, Search, Security and Information Governance. The January-March 2009 edition of the Journal of Applied Security Research provides my thoughts pertaining to standards for collecting electronically stored information. By leveraging standards and making data governance transparent, corporations are empowered to make actionable decisions faster because the very formulation of the data is known to be compliant by design. To summarize, we can execute faster when we have reasonably addressed risk through transparent governance.
