Has the authority to hire, transfer, promote, discharge, assign reward or discipline subordinate employees or recommend such actions. Motivates employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Evaluates the work products and activities of employees on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Maintains statistical records of each employee. Delegates the holder reports received to be reviewed for compliance and processed by staff. Ensures that the work product is in compliance with State laws, Departmental rules, and internal policies and procedures. Explains the reporting process and requirements to the holder community through personal contact either through telephone consultations or written instructions, speaking engagements, and public service announcements. Confers with personnel from federal, state, and local government agencies, other persons and organizations regarding holder services and serves as liaison with these groups and individuals. Develops, implements, and directs a holder response program which provides responses to holders’ inquiries. Researches laws, rules, agency policies and guidelines, proposed legislation, and other information services to remain current with and knowledge of all rules administered by the Department. Analyzes, reviews, and recommends improvements of policies and procedures for the reporting process.
