From where to stand and how to stand or crawl inside, to what equipment is required in order to compete with today's professional photographers. Each used car centre uses their own staff to take the photograph and not a professional hired in photographer, it is vital for each person to create a substantial portfolio of the car in order to place it on the internet to sell. 68% of car purchases are decided on line. Photographs are vital. With half a day 'hands on' research of the needs of the brand then, following consultation: *Explain the basics of photography and get the student to a level of understanding aperture, shutter speed, focusing points, light and composition.
*Upskill the student from using basic camera equipment to more advanced.
*Upskill the student from using automatic functionality to fully Manual features on the camera.
*Explain how to find the beauty in any subject matter.
*Inspire a new creativity and confidence from the workforce using the new photographic tools learnt in the day. Perfect number of students in one day, 2-3, to establish dedicated training time.

The exhibition is an exploding car of sort, with bonnets seats and doors used as the backdrop to the space - 'borrowed' from Jaguar Land Rover, I commissioned a carpenter to make the plinths whilst I painted the car parts on display. The Connected Technologies team at Jaguar Land Rover created the audio system where visitors heard all of the stories recorded whilst creating a PIR system for the animation (activating when someone stands in front of the screen). Chris Bradley of Willowman Productions, produced the animation made by 4 amazing boys from Lillington Youth Group. The Macular Society Leamington, The Royal Star and Garter, Solihull, Lighthorne Heath and Sydenham primary schools made up the other stories of the exhibition. The exhibition allowed the visitor to meander through the car. The children designed and made their cars out of cardboard, some in groups and some individually - providing valuable curriculum activities within their syllabus – of which were placed on horizontal bonnets. The Royal Star and Garter had their place amongst the car doors: with portraits and snippets of their stories to read. The whole story could be heard in the audio device that JLR created for the exhibition. The photographs (taken by myself) could be seen through the car door window space. I wanted to let you feel that these lovely people were travelling through time – which of course through their reminiscence, they were I suppose. The exhibition lasted for almost a year in the new Collections Centre at the British Motor Museum.
