Jan. 2008 - Feb. 2017GlobalStarted as a learner geologist and Anglo American Platinum bursary holder working on a rotational and part-time basis at Royal Bafokeng Platinum, and Corporate Head Office. Commenced full-time employment in 2011 at the Amandelbult Section as part of the exploration team executing programs on the Tumela and Dishaba mines, and other greenfield programs throughout the western limb of the Bushveld Complex. Further work at Amandelbult included underground geological work, undertaking feasibility studies for planned open pit operations, and leading environmental permitting studies and applications. In 2011, transferred to Business Development at Corporate Head Office. Responsibilities included managing, tracking and reviewing current international investments/joint ventures in Russia, Canada, and Brazil, and reviewing PGM and base metal projects globally for prospective investments across Africa, Asia and the Americas. In 2012, was appointed Executive Director of Anglo Platinum Brazil and Pedra Branca Minerals, moving to Brazil to oversee Anglo American Platinum’s in-country business interests as well as execute the subsequent disposal in 2015. Returning from Brazil, seconded from Corporate Office to assist in the establishment of the Amandelbult Open Pit Operations. Responsibilities included advancing 8 production pits from early exploration, through requisite project studies, permitting, commissioning, steady state production and rehabilitation in 18 months.
