As CEO I was responsible for a high level of stakeholder engagement, including frequent communication and collaboration with the Board, owners, fans, spectators, and Government at both the State and Local levels. As the leader of a team of 70 full-time staff and 150 casual staff and contractors, I oversaw all operational aspects of the organization, including the development of commercial programs, marketing and fan engagement programs, creation and management of operational manuals, policies, procedures, budgets, and financials. Additionally, I was responsible for the execution of the strategic plan and the development of a commercial plan specifically for the Arena and Adelaide Basketball teams. Key Deliverables; - 300% growth in sponsorship revenue and a 150% growth in event revenue, including the signing of a Head Naming Rights Sponsor. - Securing funding, including a $500,000 Women in Sports grant - Significant facility upgrades, including new change rooms and the purchase of a new central cube using cutting edge LED technology. - After a 20 year hiatus, the Stadium redefined itself as a premier venue within Adelaide, attracting several significant music events such as RnB Fridays. - Led a sports delegation to Shandong, China in celebration of a 30-year sister relationship with South Australia - Over the course of my tenure, the Adelaide 36ers sold out more than half their home games, won a minor premiership and reached a grand finale. Adelaide Lightning grew home game attendance by over 700%.

As Commercial Director, I managed a sizable team and executed a successful marketing, fundraising, and sales strategy that secured commercial rights and generated an unprecedented amount of revenue. Additionally, we achieved the highest stadium ratings in New Zealand, particularly during major events like the Rugby World Cup and the FIFA U20 World Cup. I also held a leadership position within a stadium user group, collaborating with influential figures from organizations like Dunedin City Council, Otago Polytechnic, Academy of Sport, and the University of Otago Key Deliverables - Generated $50 million in revenue over a 10 year period, through sales of sponsorship, memberships and suite sales. - Acquired and delivered sold out concerts to the stadium, each bringing over $8 million of economic benefit to the City in the first year.

I was given the task rebuilding the boarding school and growing international student numbers after a serious public relations issue in the previous year. As Director of Boarding and International Programs, I developed a strategic plan to oversee the restructuring of the boarding house staff, culture, and student body while managing a 15-member team. Additionally, I created policies, procedures, and a staff handbook to provide guidance and minimize organizational risk. I also managed budgeting, facilities, capital expenditure, maintenance, and ensured compliance with legal requirements. Furthermore, I implemented an international marketing plan for international students, including recruitment efforts in various markets and compliance with the International Students Code of Practice. Key Deliverables - Grew the hostel residence numbers by more than 60% in two years, resulting in full occupancy - Grew International student numbers by 375% in two years. - Generated profit for the school through the Boarding and International Student Program, for the first time. - Wrote, formulated, and secured a hostel license for Waitaki Boys’ Hostel under the new hostel licensing regulations.

From there, I successfully secured $1.2 million in license fees and $3 million in capital to ensure a successful license application for the New Zealand Knights in New Zealand. During this process, I led a team of 30 full-time staff and players, along with 50 casual staff and volunteers, overseeing commercial operations and game delivery while formulating a strategic business plan to support the club's initial years of operation. Key Deliverables - Successfully raised the capital and sponsorship to finance the club and secure a FFA A-league licence. - Negotiated a broadcast rights deal with Sky TV in New Zealand. - Secured a home ground venue for the team at North Harbour stadium. - Negotiated and developed a working relationship with NZ Soccer - Recruited and secured the return of NZ only Premier league player Danny Hay to captain the team.
