May. 2011 - Jan. 2014Los Angeles, CAI work with 1969 Men's 5 pocket Denim, ensuring adherence to the Designer's fit intent and over all look. I track fit approval and sample process; organize and log received fit samples I attend all men's fittings, taking detailed notes and photos, giving my input as needed and/ or requested. I work with overseas vendors daily, communicating via e-mail with extremely detailed fit comments and instructions on how to improve workmanship and fit of our garments including photos, pattern diagrams and call-outs as necessary.I interpret and apply my knowledge of design, fabrics, trims and pattern to instruction on how to improve garment construction and fit. I review all fit samples against specs, BOM, and Sketches to ensure all specifications and design details are adhered to. I work closely with Design and Production Teams from initial development stage to the TOP stage. Some of My Accomplishments at Gap 1969 Thus Far Include: -Organizing and facilitating block review meetings with executives to revise and improve starting blocks for all fits.
-Organized and facilitated Fit Clinics with our customers to obtain useful data and feedback regarding the fit, quality and perceived value of our denim.
-Oversaw two sets of block updates from initial development through to production, ensuring new block specs, pattern, construction and fit are adhered to across all fabrics and washes.
-Help my colleagues in other categories with their workload as needed and/or requested. This includes help with specing garments prior to fittings, flowing out fit comments and organizing samples.
-Recording wear test data including fabric stretch & retention and feedback from the wearer.
-Served as a Tall size fit model for Petite & Tall Tech Designer.
