Jul. 2024Orlando, Florida, United States• Develop internal communication drafts for review and approval i.e., newsletters, directors’ messages, environmental scans for OSSAM staff
• Lead, coordinate, and distribute monthly OSSAM director’s message to all OSSAM staff
• Serve daytime point of contact in emergency and crisis communication management as needed, both internal to OSSAM and CDC-wide (e.g., lab fires, active shooters, bomb threats and hazardous weather conditions)
• Participate in emergency communications drills and exercises with internal and external CDC stakeholders
• Assist in maintaining and revising OSSAM emergency communications SOP manual, making sure instructions are clear and current
• Coordinate communications activities including marketing campaigns, flyers, factsheets, health fairs, etc., related to OSSAM operations
• Work with OSSAM SharePoint and Web developers to ensure information developed and posted are in plain language, 508 compliant and appropriate to the respective audiences
• Receive, edit, develop draft documents, and submit CDC-wide communications in support of OSSAM offices
• Respond to and properly triage inquiries submitted to OSSAM office mailbox
• Coordinate communications activities including updates and enhancements to OSSAM’s SharePoint and intranet/internet Websites
• Train and assist new OPPC staff on OSSAM communication policies, procedures, and clearance processes.
• Serve as SharePoint administrator for the OSSAM’s OD and OPPC SharePoint site, which is an internal SharePoint site designed to strengthen and enhance internal communications within OSSAM. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
o Drafting content to post on the SharePoint site,
o Posting content drafted by OSSAM staff on the site, identifying content that would be of interest to OSSAM staff, and Identifying opportunities to continuously improve the site
