Sep. 2017 - Oct. 2019• Setup and ran new platform team delivering business capability by developing micro services (APIs) hosted on a private cloud using Agile methodology, to the global Barclays CTO defined standard. Total team size was 12 to 15 feature teams, approx 300 resources (analysis, dev, test, release, security, architecture etc), £1m spend a month. Separated in 5 sites around the world and using integrated 3rd Party staff, as well as fixed price teams. Nearly everything done was new or different to the way Barclays worked in the past.
• Accountable for Stakeholder management, finances, resourcing, project engagement, governance and reporting. Full platform ownership from first engagement through analysis, development to test and release all stakeholder interactions came via myself or my Central business team.
• Oversaw the development and documentation of the required new processes. • In parallel to the setup of the platform itself, my team delivered microservices to project requirements servicing the bank and its customers in the UK, with both commercial and regulatory mandated APIs deployed throughout 2018 and 2019 under my control. Total of 89 unique APIs deployed.
