Collaborate with vocational specialists, therapists, social workers, and peer specialists in treatment planning and service delivery in order to provide the highest quality care to clients.
Evaluate and treat clients experiencing mental illness in their homes and in the community to support them in reaching goals around self-care, community integration, social interaction, and home maintenance. Provide recommendations to treatment teams and clients for adaptations in their homes or places of employment to facilitate safety, independence, and achievement of goals. Develop and lead psychosocial rehabilitation treatment groups designed to build skills in activities of daily living, sensory awareness and coping, communication, self-awareness, and social engagement.
Develop and maintain trauma-informed programming and schedule of activities in drop-in center milieu including but not limited to art projects, games, exercise, annual art fair preparation, meal and snack preparation, informational meetings, sensory activities, and community outings.
Support clients in discovering or rediscovering personal interests, goals, and healthy life roles and creating changes in routine or environments to support these. Support clients in seeking out and succeeding in volunteer programs within the Center Point program
Develop educational programming and provided supervision for occupational therapy assistant students.
