For the duration of my service, as an E-3 and E-4 stationed in San Diego, I maintained the cleanliness of workspaces and performed scheduled maintenance on sonar and torpedo equipment. I also helped to introduce younger sailors to the shipboard life and stood watch in sonar, on the quarterdeck, as a roving patrol, and on the pier.
