• Launched the global supply chain for an International Sporting Brand from a zero base within 2 years and grew the company from zero to R5 million turnover.
• Negotiated and signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the South African Rugby Union, the Springboks, followed by similar agreements with three out of the five major South African Rugby Union and their Super Rugby Franchises.
• Designed, implemented and controlled the operation of the company's local and international end-to-end integrated supply chain from procurement, manufacturing and client distribution.
• Audited and controlled the manufacturing process of local manufacturers and vendors of equipment and products.
• Negotiated the vendor agreements with International Suppliers of certain products and equipment to ensure the agility of this pipeline and that the company maintains competitiveness.
• Collaborated with import clearing agents and shipping companies both locally and internationally in monitoring the flow of imported goods. • Compiled detailed forecasts of all inventory levels according to company policy and customer requirements and seasonal requirements.
• Supporting and maintaining all products in the after sales phase from the delivery and hand-over of the specialized equipment.
• Planned and executed product demonstration events with customers to ensure that company’s product is displayed in the best possible way to assist the Sales & Marketing Team.
• Skills Learnt: Negotiating with sporting bodies and teams regarding corporate sponsorship and brand building in the sporting industry.
• Building complex five-year business plans consisting of financial projections with sales and marketing plans, and then ensuring that the performance of the company is aligned with the forecasts, reporting variances and remedial plans to shareholders.
