Sep. 2020 - Dec. 2022South Africa, MidrandI manage the communications platforms, planning and strategies for the Employee Relations
team. This extends to designing creative content to be uploaded on an online university
(Vodafone University) to be accessed by employees in the organisation to educate themselves
on employee relations. The workplace page is managed to go beyond a platform for
announcements in the organisation regarding employee relations matter; it further does the
following:
◼ Creatively communicates how employee relations is a necessity to be understood by
all employees. These methods include interviews, brief acting skits and poster
designs.
◼ Research on how best to communicate with employees in the organisation, taking
legal content and positioning and presenting it as an exciting and easy read for the
average employee. I then use these findings to design content accordingly and ensure
as well as maintain employee experience and user-friendly content production and
content consumption.
This initiative is an initiative that I started myself as I saw a gap in the ER Specialist function
when directed at the employee experience.
I work with the Business Sustainability team to promote the sustainability and purpose of the
organisation, particularly in its growth in the telecommunications and technology industries.
In this role, I manage the communications plan, the planning includes:
◼ Social media planning
◼ PR planning
◼ Brand planning
◼ Communications of the initiative planning
◼ Sustainability reporting
I have worked on exciting initiatives that include, but are not limited to:
➔ Device and e-waste management
➔ Greening and refurbishing of ECD centres
➔ ESG Management and Communications
I am currently working with the Brand and Marketing team for Vodacom Business, growing
and further strengthening my communications, creativity, branding and marketing skills –
growing closer to and with my passion. With this team, I divulge more into digital marketing,
working on projects to promote the brand of the company across projects and promotion of
Vodacom Business Products.
