Responsibilities included the coordination of five contracted modernization teams, two intermediate maintenance facilities, and five direct reports through 25,000 man hours of work through systems availability, energy removal, systems removal, installation planning, power on, testing, and cosmetic repairs/upgrades. The modernization was completed two weeks early and under budget. I was cited for my performance as the Sailor of the Year and awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
