Johan Slabbert is a seasoned Chief Executive Officer and founder of the AGL Group, encompassing seven diverse companies. With over 30 years of C-Suite experience, Johan holds a Mechanical Engineering Diploma and has completed various international management development programs. He is a qualified commercial helicopter pilot and an academically certified professional coach with an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change from the University of Reading (UK), specializing in Transpersonal Coaching and the related field of Transpersonal Psychology. As a Christian Mystic and specialist in Contemplative Spirituality, Johan is deeply committed to integrating spirituality with professional development for improved emotional and spiritual resilience. He is a certified prayer and meditation guide and a Spiritual Director with Ignatian Spirituality, affiliated with the international Jesuit society. His work emphasizes holistic, nature-based interventions for personal transformation, guiding individuals beyond self-actualization towards self-transcendence. In addition to his leadership roles, Johan is the co-founder of the Pinnagon Management and Executive Leadership Development Foundation and has published works (GIFT - on talent development and talent management with a focus on reducing managerial stress through Transpersonal Coaching. He completed a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) (USA) in Executive Leadership Development in 2024, focusing on the evolution of Organisational leadership into Transpersonal Leadership through an Auto-ethnography. Residing in Cape Town, South Africa, with his wife Dr Louise Slabbert, a dentist and Finance Director, and their four children, Dr Johannes van Staden Slabbert, Jaydon Slabbert, Louise Slabbert and Andreas Slabbert, balances his professional endeavors with a commitment to family, spirituality and personal growth.
