This job provides me with many useful skills, among which are the following few: • Excellent communication skills in dealing with a variety of clients, ranging from 8 to 80 years of age, novices as well as expert climbers. We run induction courses, technique workshops, kids parties, adult fun sessions, and regular weekend kids' club sessions. • High level of responsibility in my role as senior staff member, both in terms of providing a safe climbing environment as well as managing bookings, handling the stock and cash, and in opening and closing of the gym. • Time management and organisational skills, punctuality in wrapping up a course or opening the gym on time are crucial. • High attention to detail and awareness, when checking equipment, knots, and the climbers' setup for equipment faults and mistakes.
