GuiaBolsoSenior Software Engineer & Frontend Specialist
Mar. 2015 - May. 2017São Paulo Area, BrazilAt GuiaBolso I had the opportunity to develop the feature for checking debts registry of our users, which was one of the key features for improving user acquisition and breaking the mark of 2 millions active users. Later on I took on the role of being one of the first developers to work on the newly created monetisation department. There I worked on the architecture of new services, protocol/API design, technology adoption, development on both frontend and backend services. I was able to introduce Node.js, React.js in our tech stack as well as Flux and Redux, which allowed us to have a fast development/release cycle. Being on the monetisation initiative also gave me the opportunity to work closer to the product/UX teams which allowed me to learn a little bit about the business itself, partnerships, revenue/credit modelling etc. I also took the initiative of bringing in projects and ideas that envisioned to promote tech innovation and knowledge sharing among people like: TechTalks, Hackathons, OpenSource Repository, Coding dojos, Tech Meet-uUps. It was a great experience. I was able to learn from great people and improve myself as a developer, professional and leader, while contributing to success and culture of GuiaBolso by better understanding the developer's role in business/product development and taking a more active attitude on that than I ever had. -- GuiaBolso aims to empower Brazilians to take control of their financial well-being by automating the personal finances management by importing and organizing the user’s in a very easy way to understand and manage.
