Jan. 1990 - Jul. 1994Led the technology team that introduced the Internet to the Ontario government and established the government node (gov.on.ca) on the Canadian University backbone. Defined and delivered Canada's first Electronic Post Office; a centrally managed electronic mail gateway interchange, an innovative centralized technology for seamlessly interchanging electronic mail, documents and spreadsheets. EPO allowed Bob Rae to be the first Premier who could send-and-receive email from inside and outside of the OPS, by tying together more than 100 disparate electronic mail systems across more than 20 ministries (and broader OPS) and a total of 27,500 electronic mail users.
