Joined IMN in 2012 to take lead on the development of proprietary conference management software. In 2012 the software was running in extremely outdated format. Technology stacks were split between windows-based application for back office and LAMP stack web application for client facing front-end. This forced to keep two separate codebases creating good amount of inefficiencies. Over the years the proprietary platform has been re-written in its entirety, becoming top notch conference management platform allowing business to operate at very high efficiency with smaller staff than its competitors. Many new modules and features were developed off of the industry experience of company’s managing team.

Projects ranging from online stores to commercial extension development for popular open-source CMS i.e. Joomla/Wordpress. Few companies that I’d like to mention are DrumHead Magazine, LiveHelpNow, and Kabloonak Communications. The latter was a European based company that was developing media-streaming extensions for Joomla/WordPress. It was curious time of transition to mobile devices (iPhone was released already), which did not support Adobe Flash however supported HTML5. The commercial extensions we developed allowed clients not seamlessly stream their media from AWS Cloudfront on their websites. LiveHelpNow was a first company that introduced me to SalesForce during integration for one of their clients that needed to integrate LiveHelpNow support software into SalesForce platform.

This was a promising company that could’ve been competing with Travelocity and Expedia. Virtual Miles loyalty program which compounded with travel miles given by airlines gave a good start to this venture. However, the events of 9/11 shook the travel industry leading to eventual demise of smaller companies, leading only industry giants. Was responsible for leading a web application development team on developing travel agency’s web application. Acted as senior developer and technical project leader tasked with both development and managing an array of contracted developers. Was responsible for maintaining all application and database server, code repository, network infrastructure and in-house data center.
