Agro.ClubHead of Data and Analysts department
Apr. 2020 - Apr. 2024Novi Sad, Vojvodina, SerbiaAgro.Club — Global B2B agtech SaaS platform for trading & logistics (5 markets: Russia, Canada, Spain, USA, Brazil; $100M+ annualized GMV).
Hired as the first data scientist to build an analytics and information service from scratch across 5 markets.
‣ Canada (Canterra partnership): Built the data infrastructure and 4-tier reporting (retailer → regional → country → exec) that powered Canterra's first platform season — 2× revenue in month one, 3.8× over the season. Stack later replicated for Spain, USA expansions; Canterra eventually acquired the platform.
‣ Russia (full ops + finance overhaul): Co-led the analytics, CRM and finance rebuild — field discovery with sales managers, event analytics across the funnel, automated reporting (1C + deal DB + CRM → unified dashboards for CEO/COO + reconciled Excel from deal to P&L). Contributed to ~3–5× revenue and ~10× turnover growth; partnered with, CPO, COO and finance.
‣ ML / AI products in production: Wheat-price forecasting model (RU) driving daily budget and credit-cycle decisions for the COO; seasonal sales-recommendation pipeline for Canadian retailers, surfaced as upsell suggestions on a dedicated dashboard; document recognition + auto-matching from WhatsApp field photos into deal records (computer vision + OCR); data foundations for the company's AI logistics matching engine.
‣ First end-to-end product (PM transition): Within the US data team, designed and built a B2B surplus-matching product end-to-end (backend + analytics + ML) — buy/sell board for retailers to trade unused agro-chemical inventory. Owning a product end-to-end, not just data infrastructure.
‣ Team — built, lost, rebuilt: Scaled the data org from 0 to 17 people (analysts, data engineers, ML, backend) across 5 markets; restructured and rebuilt after losing ~2/3 of the team to wartime in mid-2022. Alumni now hold Head of Analytics, Data Engineer, Team Lead and AI Engineer roles.
