Responsibilities include: • Assisting the Computer Laboratory Administrator with daily tasks and general laboratory maintenance
• Computer laboratory maintenance of 32 laboratories across 6 campuses
• Basic hardware support, maintenance and repairs for 655 computers and their peripherals
• Basic network support and troubleshooting such as Novell network, UP-Portal, clickUP or Tuks Gmail login, tree/server issues, single sign-on errors, and internet and intranet access
• Software support, installations and error troubleshooting such as software updates and repairs for various operating systems (Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP and Linux Ubuntu, Mint, Puppy)
• Image creation, installations and updates to master computers with Windows 7 Enterprise
• Image deployment and casting to client computers with Novell ZENworks or CloneZilla
• First line support (incoming calls, emails or walk-ins) for students with queries and troubleshooting
• Providing computer help desk support and technical training on hardware or software to end- users
• Logging of problems and/or incidents to building coordinators and supervisors
• Asset control of computer laboratory equipment and office inventory
