Teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules. Supervises BSc Honours, Masters, and Doctoral research projects to completion. Research ideation. Deputy Head of Department, responsible for research, innovation and postgraduate studies. Teaches undergraduate modules (theory and practice) in a range of modalities (in-person, online, hybrid) using high impact teaching practices, inclusive of innovative pedagogy. Conducts formative and summative assessment using diversity, equity and inclusion as a key frameworks for those assessments. Actively collaborate within the department and across academic departments and programs to identify barriers to student success and then constructively address those barriers to promote student success. Engage in scholarly activity appropriate to the discipline such as publishing; presenting at national, regional, and international conferences. Fulfill all roles and responsibilities associated with a faculty appointment, including teaching, scholarship, administration and community engagement. Research Management/Coordination Coordinates the design and execution of project plans for taking programmes from early discovery into development. Facilitates the setting of programme strategy and objectives, key milestones, and scope. Maintaines frequent communication with the cross-functional project team members and key stakeholders. Prepares summary information on progress, timeline updates, risk assessment & mitigation and scenario planning for periodic reporting and presentations. Builds strong working relationships across collaborative research teams. Scientific writing, meeting with colleagues to plan the content of key documents or publications. Reviewing and grant/funding applications. Attending academic, industry meetings, taking part in conference calls with collaborators.
