Calypso36°21Curator, coordinator, researcher
Dec. 2018 - Nov. 2021In 2018, I co-created the women-led French-Moroccan collective Calypso36°21. A recipient of the StimuleringFond grant for three years, we created the itinerant curatorial program Out.of.the.blue.map, exploring the liminality of Mediterranean borderscapes. We developed two exhibitions, one in Marseille for Manifesta13, and one in Tangier. We also led a number of workshops, leading to the production of artworks (like the sound piece Collecting Voices, that was presented recently in Calabria, at the occasions of Crossings). As part of the program, I initiated and co-coordinated the edition of the lexicon On Drifting, which proceeds went to the NGO S.O.S Mediterranée, and that gathered original and existing texts from Etel Adnan, Erri de Luca, Sébastien Thiéry, Mehdi Alioua, Ala Tannir... and more.
