This included the table tops, underneath the tables, bathrooms, floors and drink station. I also assisted the waiting staff with drink orders, drink refills and making sure tables had the appropriate food and utensils. After two years of being a hostess I moved up to cashiering. Cashiers had a number of responsibilities including: ringing up server tickets, answering the phone, taking to-go orders, bagging the orders, ringing up my tickets, making sure the cashier counter was well maintained, helping the wait staff master tickets, helping the kitchen dispense food and helping where ever else I could. Both of these jobs helped me improve my speech skills, time management skills, as well as people skills.
