Dr. Aminu Tukur, Ph.D., CEng, COREN is a senior telecommunications expert, physicist, and policy contributor with over 35 years of experience spanning engineering systems, national communications infrastructure, Education, Marine Engineering and international spectrum governance. He has held top-level technical and executive roles within Nigeria’s public sector, including Deputy Director of Spectrum Management at the Federal Ministry of Communications and Managing Director of Sokoto State Media Corporation. His work has directly influenced broadcast engineering systems, national spectrum regulation, and telecommunications policy implementation. Dr. Tukur has represented Nigeria as an official delegate at global telecommunications forums convened by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), including the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) and Conference Preparatory Meetings (CPM). He has also contributed to regional policy dialogue through multiple African telecommunications engagements. A Chartered Engineer (UK) and Distinguished Engineer registered with COREN, he is a member of leading international professional bodies including IEEE and IET. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Physics, with research contributions in renewable energy systems and semiconductor thin films. Dr. Tukur is currently a lecturer with the Department of Physics, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. Dr. Tukur’s expertise lies at the intersection of engineering, policy, and research, positioning him as a valuable contributor to international consultancy, regulatory advisory, and academic collaboration.
