Key Responsibilities & Competencies Analyze, understand, and proactively monitor key business drivers, as well as identify emerging trends relevant to the business. Perform detailed analytical reviews of monthly trading results, including close monitoring of balance sheet exposures and risk positions. Lead month-end closing activities, including: Calculation and validation of monthly trading profit and loss (P&L) Mark-to-market valuation of inventories and open physical contracts Mark-to-market of futures positions on the Chicago Board of Trade Review and analysis of long/short positions, spreads, and futures/options results Crushing margin calculation and profitability analysis Assessment of manufacturing costs and SG&A expenses Preparation of balance sheet projections and working capital analysis Monitoring of cash conversion cycle, including DSO, DIO, and DPO metrics Interfacing trading transactions with the accounting system Preparation of accruals Core Skills & Attributes Strong trading and financial acumen, with a solid understanding of financial instruments and reporting.
