September 2015 - December 2017: Marketing Manager I managed a small team responsible for meeting aggressive demand gen goals for three business units. This included developing and executing integrated demand gen and ABM strategies, leading PR and content strategy, and advising on partner marketing. I also managed product, partner, and customer marketing in 2015-2016. My responsibility was to provide deep audience strategic insights and design a data-driven comprehensive marketing plan that utilized Avalara’s well-developed tech stack. I was responsible for meeting marketing funnel goals, managing budget, and complex cross-functional collaboration. About the business units: Avalara’s Communications business unit provides a SaaS-based indirect taxation solution for wireless, cable, VoIP, digital content/streaming, 5G/IoT and other related industries. The Excise business unit provides tax solutions for various energy and tobacco/vape products. The Beverage Alcohol business unit supports predominantly wineries, craft breweries, and importers.
