As Safety Department Head I manage and am accountable for over 20 Naval Aviation Safety Programs ensuring squadron safety policies and procedures are current and executed. My direct performance and leadership led to Squadron's selection as 2009 Admiral John H. Towers Flight Safety and 2009/2010 Chief of Naval Operations Aviation Safety Award winner. The opportunity to lead, guide, mentor, shape and train our next generation of warfighters and leaders to successfully engage and defeat real world threats and challenges to our national security is a true honor and is the most excitement and enjoyment I have had in all my years as a Naval Aviator and Officer. My training and ability to act under pressure was something I will never forget.
