The system has evolved from an in-house system on a local server to a WAN with all data on the cloud. As an Executive Assistant I schedule all travel activities. Research, recommend and purchase airplane tickets, transfers, accommodations and mobility assistance. Research, recommend and reserve lodging. Request specialized dietary needs and allergy accommodations [severe allergy to feathers/down] in hotels initially, week prior, day before and arrival day. I manage email and files to prioritize and eliminate time wasted. I also reply to applicants online, with requests for more information, rejections, and appointment setting. Weekly exporting of information from the proprietary system to spreadsheet format for executive review. I also regularly do more personal items like calls to arrange reservations for everything from business dinners to doggy daycare. Managing personal life items like doing shopping and flower deliveries all falls under my “Anything that streamlines my executives day” I will continue to work for this family held business on a limited basis. The president is doing less travel and technical advances have decreased the need for IT duties.
