Principal Researcher
Labour Market Information Council / Conseil de l’information sur le marché du travailPrincipal Researcher
Jun. 2020 - Oct. 2025As a Principal Researcher in an a multifaceted industry, I developed, executed and managed pan-Canadian labour market information (LMI) research. I worked with the LMIC team of economists on programs that seek to assess and address many LMI challenges and gaps in the Canadian labour market information landscape. At LMIC, I had the opportunity to utilize my research and stakeholder management, data, and analysis skills when looking at the different players, services, and products impacting Canadian Labour Market Information (LMI) system, and when working with partners to drive research or product development that had impact in our space. Most notably, I developed and pitched a whole line of research and products focused on understanding Artificial Intelligence's impact on the data collected and analyzed within labour market information systems- where there was a big gap in research and proper guidance. This work produced technical guides, informative blogs, and longer research reports to advance the knowledge in the system. Whether that was through developing RFPs and leading project or product developments from ideation to launch, developing and managing research plans with internal and external stakeholders, cultivating and managing strategic partnerships, analyzing data and drafting projects and product work-plans from those insights- the role was interdisciplinary. I applied my research and analytical skills, my experience in drafting and managing research agendas and complex projects, as well as leading and coordinating teams in agile methodologies to deliver impactful project and product outcomes that meet the needs of our varied stakeholder groups and clients. Other notable projects: 1-Coordinating as the project lead and subject matter expert, the development of digital labour market information platform for Jk-12 students to support career exploration and study pathways.
