Creme GlobalScienziato Data Science
Nov. 2012 - Jan. 2020DublinAs a senior data scientist, I carry out multiple tasks involving data wrangling, data analyses and predictive model development. Specifically, I routinely run statistical analyses on short-term data about food and cosmetic consumption, retrieved from several national surveys. I then develop long-term predictive models to assess exposure to chemicals contained in foods and cosmetics, leveraging different mathematical techniques: - Regression models (linear and logistic mostly) - Cluster analysis (k-means, SVM, PCA) - Differential equations (Physiologically based pharmacokinetic modelling) - Montecarlo / bootstrapping simulation (with Gamma, Poisson and Uniform distributions) I also supervise the development of new cloud-based software, as product owner, which contain a production, high-performance and distributed version of the models above. Results are published in scientific, peer-reviewed papers and technical reports. As part of the dissemination task, I attend and run presentations at scientific conferences (ISES and Predict are the most recently ones). I also write scientific blogs for the companyβs website and newsletter. Main technologies: - Python, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib - R (GGplot, GGvis, Gdata are among the most frequently used packages) - MySQL - Atlassian Suite (JIRA & Bitbucket) Personal initiatives: - Attending events organized by the Society of Actuary Ireland and volunteer member of the Wider Fields Committee - I wrote an article for the magazine the Actuary (see publications)
