They can monitor web-based activities ranging from comments on blogs to downloads of digital content. They collect this information and analyze it to offer a 360 view of what a customer thinks, says, writes, etc — “the voice of the customer”. Music is a first vertical, and the Semetric products and services in this vertical are being marketed as “MusicMetric” (www.musicmetric.com). It can track what people are saying about bands, who is downloading which tracks where and when, what music is being played by radio stations. Google and the European Commission were my two signature new business signings. In addition I set up a sales team and a marketing team within 2 months of arriving at Semetric.
