Kuwait EmbassyDirector Medical Advisor Division – Director Claims Audit Unit - Embassy of Kuwait Health Office
Jan. 2001Washington, District of Columbia, United StatesAs Director of the Medical Advisor Division at the Kuwait Health Office in Washington, D.C., I led the transformation of internal operations and positioned the office as a strategic partner in global healthcare delivery. I restructured core workflows and implemented standardized protocols across clinical and administrative teams, significantly improving coordination, compliance, and overall performance outcomes. I championed high-impact initiatives, including the establishment of strategic alliances with major U.S. healthcare institutions, ensuring consistent, high-quality care for Kuwaiti patients receiving treatment across the United States. My leadership extended into financial governance, where I oversaw contract management and cost center optimization. Through the development of a predictive, data-informed referral system, I successfully prevented millions in potential liabilities and streamlined resource allocation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, was a lead member of the Kuwait Health Office’s emergency medical response team, coordinating the repatriation of thousands of Kuwaiti citizens under urgent and complex conditions. This effort highlighted both my crisis leadership and the office’s pivotal role in cross-border health strategy. I also manage end-to-end claims integrity processes, leading detailed audits of hospital billing and physician documentation. My work ensured accuracy in medical coding and compliance with both local and international standards, while maintaining collaborative relationships with managed care providers to resolve case management issues efficiently and ethically.
