Sep. 2025As Founder of OIRA, I lead the creation of an international non-profit alliance dedicated to regenerating ocean ecosystems and empowering island communities. Through our flagship initiative, the Blue Mobility Programs (BMPs), we work with island territories across the Pacific, Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Galápagos, Canary Islands, and Southeast Asia to: • Develop clean and regenerative maritime transport pathways (“Blue Corridors”). • Support sustainable small-scale fisheries and community-based economies. • Integrate citizen science, ocean education, and participatory governance. • Build global alliances with NGOs, governments, scientists, and funders. My role focuses on strategic leadership, partnerships, and impact design — ensuring that OIRA connects science, innovation, and local knowledge to deliver scalable solutions for island resilience. Together, we are transforming maritime mobility from extractive to regenerative — for the oceans, and for the people who depend on them.

Aug. 2023Santa Cruz de TenerifeAs Founder & Executive Director of InSail, I lead a pioneering initiative in sustainable and regenerative maritime mobility, focused on decarbonizing inter-island transport and creating new models for island resilience. Our flagship project, the SEAW Mobility Project, is developing a 120-passenger sail-electric catamaran for the Canary Islands — a demonstrator designed to inspire a global transition in fragile ecosystems. My role bridges strategy, leadership, and execution: • Driving the vision of Blue Corridors as pathways for clean, community-centered maritime mobility. • Building alliances with governments, NGOs, funders, and private operators. • Coordinating international teams of engineers, scientists, and sailors. • Structuring financing models (SPVs, bank partnerships, philanthropic alliances). • Ensuring compliance with IMO, EU, and ESG standards. Through InSail, we aim not only to build vessels, but to create replicable solutions where mobility becomes a driver of ocean regeneration, island resilience, and socio-economic empowerment.
