• Carbon Strategy & REDD+ Leadership: Served as the technical lead for major REDD+ initiatives including Chyulu Hills and Mount Kenya–Aberdare ecosystem projects. Oversaw MRV systems, project design documents, and carbon credit validation with Verra and national stakeholders.
• Jurisdictional Carbon Policy: Technical lead with Ministry of Environment and Forestry advising on climate standards under LEAF Coalition jurisdictional REDD+ framework, ensuring alignment with global best practices and Kenya's NDC targets.
• Project Design & Feasibility: Directed feasibility studies and project design for key terrestrial and coastal ecosystems including Marsabit Forest, Ruma National Park, Mt. Elgon, Kakamega Forest, and mangrove ecosystems in Watamu and Kiunga.
• Strategic Planning: Led national strategy development to achieve 30% tree cover by 2032. Contributed to carbon offset planning and ecological restoration frameworks.
• Protected Areas Development: Led technical design of Kenya Parks Project phase III covering five terrestrial and one marine protected area, focusing on biodiversity conservation, carbon co-benefits, and community engagement.
• Climate Policy & Capacity Building: Spearheaded drafting the national climate change strategy for Kenya Wildlife Service, integrating ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, and institutional resilience planning.
