Overcoming this was important for us, and we quickly became friends with many stall owners to understand their reluctance to accepting digital payments was mainly lack of information. Coined the term Hawkerpedia for future planning of integration from online to offline concept, with digital payment and loyalty programmes and incorporating traditional home recipes, explanation of traditional wet, dry food and cooked food. Concept of Makan Kaki in Year 2015, was an extension to the food delivery that was starting up in companies such as FoodPanda, Deliveroo and honestbee. The concept was simple; instead of delivering food for restaurants, we will explore doing it with hawkers, instead of delivering only a single stall, we will do a combination of the hawker centres, instead of fixed locations, let's fix in rotational of the most popular hawker centres in Singapore. While sharing this idea with co-founder and peers, decided to work on the unit economics, profit margins, growth expectations in a bid to understand the start-up plans of many new food applications.
