Collaborating with corporate team of professionals located within each business sector to work across IPC's operating segments to ensure a culture of safety is at the forefront of all corporate and operational activities. The role interacts at all levels of the organization to drive standards and compliance that are consistent with IPC’s core values as well as Canadian regulations. Key Responsibilities Include: • Collaborate with the executive management to develop and champion a corporate strategic direction for environment, health & safety including developing policies, procedures, standards and metrics. • Presents recommendations, audit findings, accident/incident information and various metrics to Executive Management teams as required. • Liaise and build relationships with external partners, industry experts, and vendors as appropriate. • Ensure policies, procedures, manuals and standards are communicated to all staff, drives alignment of practice across all businesses, and leads training initiatives as required. • Handle escalation of incidents or issues to ensure appropriate resolution. • Effectively manage stakeholders on all major projects, ensure emergency/ crisis procedures are established and followed. • Report accidents or incidents to appropriate legislative body/committee as required. • Maintain relationships with various agencies that are providing environment, health & safety consulting services to IPC and monitors performance. • Participate in Corporate Environment, Health & Safety budgeting and monitors budgets throughout the year
