Oct. 2018Colombia, MedellínResponsible for leading and executing manual and exploratory testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring that deliverables meet defined quality standards and client requirements. Your primary responsibilities include:
Test Planning and Strategy: Designing robust test strategies, creating detailed test plans, and defining comprehensive test coverage for each new feature, release, or sprint.
Test Case Design and Execution: Authoring, reviewing, and executing functional and non-functional test cases, focusing on positive, negative, and edge scenarios that ensure product reliability.
Defect Management: Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using leading tools such as Jira, Xray, or similar platforms, and collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Sign-Off and Quality Documentation: Providing formal test cycle sign-off based on well-defined exit criteria, preparing test evidence, and supporting audit and compliance initiatives. Responsible for peer reviewing and sharing QC status reports with stakeholders.
Agile and Cross-Team Collaboration: Actively participating in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and regular syncs with product owners, developers, and automation teams to align on quality objectives and priorities.
Client-Focused Quality Advocacy: Engaging with clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), adapting test approaches to specific industry requirements, and upholding Globant’s QA best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Driving process improvements, contributing to regression and exploratory testing, and identifying candidates for automation to enhance test coverage and efficiency across all stages of the SDLC.
Tool Proficiency: Working with a wide array of industry-standard tools such as Jira, Test Manager, Xray, Postman, SoapUI, and various browsers and accessibility checkers.
