Apr. 2015 - Aug. 2017Streamlined and updated curriculum and curriculum delivery for Leadership for a Future, a leadership development program focused on social justice and community organizing, and the Summer Youth Program which teaches 1200 youth their rights on the job, health and safety on the job and an understanding of workers' compensation insurance. Designed and piloted the Jumpstart College program and the Jumpstart: Pathway to Apprenticeship program . The former to support individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to place out of remedial classes through the Accuplacer placement test, the latter to help students currently living at or recently released from the RI Training School learn about and become prepared to apply to a variety of apprenticeship programs through the skilled trades unions in RI. Delivered community trainings and Spanish language radio show broadcasts on workers’ rights, health and safety on the job, and workers’ compensation.
