I played Karen, a mother who has lost her son to an overdose of Fentanyl. Each performance included a talk-back with the cast and a licensed recovery and/or drama therapist. The feedback from our audiences, many of who have lost family members to addiction or are themselves in the process of recovering from addiction, was profoundly affecting. I was grateful each performance to give voice to people who often feel invisible or judged in the midst of intense suffering.
