Abdel-Rahman Ayas is a Lebanese journalist, editor, writer, and translator with more than three decades of professional experience in political, economic, and cultural reporting, analysis, and publishing. He has worked with leading regional and international media outlets, including *Al-Hayat* (Business Desk Deputy Editor and later Business Desk Editor), *The Daily Star* (Lebanon Desk Editor and writer), and *An-Nouqad*, and has also contributed as a freelancer to platforms such as *Al-Majalla*, *Independent Arabia*, *Ourouba22*, and *Al-Nahar*. Alongside his journalism, he has built a strong record in Arabic–English and English–Arabic translation, producing high-quality work for publishers and institutions such as Hachette-Antoine, the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science, Alam El-Maarifa, the Center for Arab Unity Studies, the World Bank, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation, among others. His published book translations include major titles by Barack Obama and Joseph Stiglitz, as well as influential works in politics, economics, and the social sciences. A member of the Lebanese Union of Journalists since 1995, he has been recognized with awards from Lebanon’s Ministry of Culture and the Association of Lebanese Publishers for distinguished book reviews, and a joint shield from the Union of Arab Banks and the World Union of Arab Bankers for distinguished business analysis.
