We believe in a world where sustainable investing and profitability are not mutually exclusive. CFM provides financing solutions for infrastructure developers in the renewable energy, water sanitation and ocean sectors, and our fund structures provide investments across the entire project lifecycle (development, construction and operational stages). Our long term vision is to raise, deploy and manage funds for climate change mitigation and adaptation that will deliver a transformative role in the renewable energy, water & oceans, sanitation, landscapes, and sustainable cities sectors. My role is to assess the investment merits of renewable energy projects with a specific focus on Solar, Wind and Hydroelectric technologies throughout Africa with the goal of developing bankable Projects to get them to Financial Close. Key responsibilities are to: 1) conduct Project evaluation through analysis of financial statements and financial models, 2) develop and refine financial models for a variety of bespoke, and often complex, capital structures, 3) draft investment theses for Investment Committee approval, 4) conduct market research and risk analysis as well as developing and delivering on Investment Strategies in line with this research, 5) review legal documentation and participate in commercial negotiations (MOU, JDA, PPA, SHA, etc.) 6) ensure compliance with internal policies as well as international KYC/AML best practice due diligence, 6) build relationships with external stakeholders including DFIs, Governments, Developers, Commercial Banks and Multilateral Organisations and 7) lead appointments and engagements with key Project Advisors.
