Jun. 2017 - Oct. 2020Brussels, BelgiumENALMH – European Network of Active Living for Mental Health” is an international non-profit-making association governed by the Belgian Law of 27th June 1921 relating to non-profit-making associations, international-non- profit-making associations and foundations. The legal seat of the Network will be in Brussels. ENALMH network’s mission: a) to inspire and facilitate the establishment and implementation of Sport and Physical activities for Mental Health, by providing any potential support (financial, operational, communication) to its members b) to support Sport and Physical activities for mental health treatment & promotion of Mental Health for the benefit of mental health services’ users and general population. c) To promote the better understanding of the importance of the use of Sport and Physical activities in the overall mental health approach and, d) at raising awareness & addressing stigma attached to mental ill health and to mental health services’ users through Sport and Physical activities The association is open to all members coming from countries of the Council of Europe. The ENALMH Network has been established within the framework of the MENS project (www.mensproject.eu ) as one of the core action of the project funded by EC/ERASMUS+ Programme/ Sport. In the Constituent General Assembly held on June 23rd, 2017 in Prague 14 organisations participated coming from 11 EU MS: Greece, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Ireland, Croatia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Turkey.
