Nov. 2022Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada- Ensures the day-to-day operations are seamless through effective scheduling/coordination of staffing, projects as well as maintenance work for building operations and conference services. - Works with IT and Kx technicians and implements policies and procedures for the operational systems, e.g., key control system, check in/out, use of facilities, Kx. - Manages access control, including the coordination of the key and card access system for all residence buildings. Makes recommendations to the Assistant Directors, Facilities as appropriate or required. - In summer, manages the day-to-day front desk operation in residences this is required for the provision of Residence/Hotel Accommodations for residence students, conference groups, tourist business and summer students. - Oversees the financial management of the Front Desk operations (daily deposits, and journal entries etc.) for the academic year and in summer. - Directly manages five unionized Front Desk Supervisors employees, also responsible for the management of 45 plus part-time student staff members, or 25 full-time student staff in the summer
