Jan. 1997 - Dec. 1999I served as Webmaster for IBM's Data Management Solutions unit (that's DB2 and all the tools...) from 1997-99. In this role I planned and implemented the online marketing & leads channel strategy for IBM’s database server software products, and IBM’s global Business Intelligence campaigns. Duties included directing 65 content contributors; negotiating co-marketing agreements with more than a dozen alliance partners; controlling a $750K vendor budget. I also built the world's first multi-channel Internet-based corporate video network ("DMN," the Data Management Network), in collaboration with Broadcast.com. HIGHLIGHTS: − Helped turn around a $2B unit of IBM Software Group, which had lost money for five years − Drove $141M revenue with trial-software downloads channel that generated 2100+ “A” leads − Created IBM’s first global Web-integrated software launch campaign (DB2 v5) − Pioneered IBM Software Group’s use of webinars and streaming media for training and marketing − Received two IBM Awards for outstanding contributions to marketing campaigns
