Reaching into every area of the University community; we want to enrich people’s lives through the benefits that an active lifestyle can offer. From supporting inactive members of the University community building physical activity into everyday life, providing an excellent experience to our student sports clubs, through to offering elite level support to our students or staff with aspirations of performing at a higher level in sport or fitness. Our inclusive strategy aims to support and provide opportunities for our whole University community to engage in physical activity.

Sep. 2013 - Jan. 2023ShepwayThe Shepway Sports Trust is a not for profit sports charity, providing opportunities and pathways to increase sports participation and promote active lifestyles amongst residents in the Shepway area. At the heart of our aims is a strategic plan to make sport accessible to those of all ages, with a key focus on young people. To do this, our strategy addresses four fundamental areas : School Sport, Sports Clubs, Active Communities and Education and Training. The trusts’ main funder is the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust and we also receive some financial support to deliver specific projects from key partners such as Shepway District Council, Kent Sport, StreetGames, BIG Lottery, Kent Football Association.
