Whilst working in the Melbourne office two days a week, I have learnt a wide range of valuable skills such as: - Bid/No Bid, - Tender Writing and RFQ reading - Data Analysis with Excel - Environmental Management Plan development - Stormwater Analysis Furthermore, the opportunity to gain such knowledge whilst still studying my Bachelor of Environmental Science has been able to broaden my horizons and show me which areas of my field I want to pursue. Working through Covid-19 lockdowns as well as working online has not hindered my ability to learn with the business being very supportive. Likewise, my IT skills and my ability to communicate with team members online have grown.

I run the grocery department when the manager isn’t in the store, as well as ensuring all tasks are completed within the department for that day. Furthermore, I have undertaken training to gain skills and experience as a Duty Manager. This position puts me in charge of the shop during the evenings and allows me to look after customer and employee needs. As well as this I am in charge of restocking the shelves and the night fill team. Recently (2022), I have changed store and taken on more managing positions with Nightfill Manager and Duty Manager. Covid-19 has been difficult, but it has presented opportunities.
