Feed the ChildrenGlobal Database Specialist
Jul. 2021Nairobi, KenyaAmidst the current peak of poverty and childhood hunger, I assist 8 country offices across Africa, North America, Central America, and Southeast Asia in the implementation of our non-profit programs that benefit disadvantaged children and their communities. As a global data lead, my main responsibility is to ensure the smooth aggregation and flow of data between FEED and our valued partners, thus contributing to the strategic orchestration of information to optimize the impact of our initiatives and ensure that the most vulnerable populations receive the support they urgently need. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS: * Established Data Quality Frameworks - Through collaboration with stakeholders, ensured high data quality for accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making, impacting child data management and MEAL systems. * Wrote the Functional Specification, catering to the comprehension of technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, and designed the MEAL database architecture for our $46M USAID-funded Malawi flagship project - 'Akule ndi Thanzi'. * Redesigned the database architecture of our child data management system and migrated legacy data, resulting in a highly optimized database that improved efficiency and user experience across all 8 countries. * Undertook migration and setup of our child data management system databases to Azure.
