Ensuring that they are receiving the information they need to perform their function and also intervene where necessary • Update the warehouse performance spreadsheets and forward to the management team • Record all good received notes and goods despatched notes on a spreadsheet before handing to the controller to be captured on our in-house system • Ensure all invoices are raised within 24 hours of receiving or despatching of cargo • Ensure that the invoices are correct before the controllers send the invoices to the clients • Update and monitor an invoice report which is submitted to the finance department at the end of the month • Control the credit notes that are raised for the month – keep copies and file per month • Monitor the daily warehouse plan – work planned for the various warehouses • Attend the operational meeting – take notes and distribute to the necessary staff members • Update our internal landing report – budgeted cargo for the month that is received into the various warehouses and depots and forward the management team • Resolve queries – within 24 hours • Print and maintain the controller file report – close off completed files – ensure all cargo has been captured and invoiced out. • Review and sign off all stock recons sent to client and ensure all stock reports are correct and up to date • Performance appraisals of all controllers and advise management of the outcome • Download all photos that need to be sent to clients. • Check quotes to ensure all aspects of the actual scope of work has been covered. • Assist with the drawing up of the Standard Operations Procedure • We have grown from 4 warehouses to 8 warehouses
