Made recommendations to senior leaders in the Office of the Secretary of Defense/Public Affairs on effectively disseminating strategic communication messages using television and radio news reports as well as podcasts and vodcasts. Developed communication strategies and messages, then delivered those messages in daily news reports in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment for the Defense Department's primary newscast, "Around the Services." Effectively communicated daily public affairs messages of our nation's highest leaders including the President of the United States, Secretary of Defense, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the DoD Public Affairs mission. Provided daily support for nationally broadcast news organizations, including CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, and Fox News among others, for mission briefings coming from Iraq, Afghanistan, and other high-profile locations. Managed daily operations of the Pentagon News Bureau working side-by-side with nationally broadcast journalists working for CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, and Fox News among others. Assigned and conducted interviews with senior DoD officials including the Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Vice-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Applied effective use of blogs, tweets, and broadcast news products at Super Bowl LXII, the 2008 MLB All-Star game, the 2009 MLB All-Star game, and other high profile events. Established the "convergence" standard for new media in DoD broadcasting. Managed military broadcast team and served as an announcer along President Barack Obama's Inaugural Parade route in January 2009.
