I acted as an associate HR consultant to revamp the HR system of a factory in the agro-allied industry based in the hinterlands of northern Nigeria (with little to no phone network connectivity). Specifically, I and my colleagues (fellow consultants) audited the existing HR system to identify lapses and we went on to design short-term and mid-term organograms, HR policies and process maps, job profiles et cetera as well as managed the restructuring project which was midwifed by a change management programme. Those were in addition to provision of advisory and recruitment services. Our professional engagement was strategic because it was geared towards supporting the company's expansion move from 170+ staff to 400+ staff. This project spanned 6 months.

Some research studies were cited to show which personality traits are correlated to desirable (as well as undesirable) job attitudes and behaviours. The training was concluded by underscoring the need to manage stress effectively so as not to stretch employees beyond their coping limits. This was said against the backdrop of the discussion of a few cases on personality disorders in the workplace.
